Red Mask auditions start Monday

DANVILLE — Red Mask Players will host auditions for “Zara, or Who Killed the Queen of the Silent Screen?” at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Kathryn Randolph Theater, 601 N. Vermilion St.

There are roles for six men and four women. A copy of the script is available for in-house reading at the Danville Public Library.

Show dates are April 5-7 and 12-14.

Séances, ghosts and jazz are all part of the murder of Zara St. Cyr, the fascinating film star. Sixty years after the crime, Martin James, a writer, is determined to find out “who done it.” Martin and his wife, Susan, move into Zara’s beach house. They are thrust into the past where they find Zara alive and kicking. Tension builds as Zara’s guests reveal their motives for murder.
