DANVILLE — A man and woman arrested in Georgetown now face charges in connection with three theft incidents in Danville.
Kayla Bush, 18, of Rockville, Ind., and Tysen Richards Jr., 17, of Ridge Farm were arrested and booked at 11:30 a.m. Thursday by Georgetown Police Chief R. Whitney Reneker on charges of criminal trespassing. Richards also was charged with possession of cannabis.
Reneker said both are also suspects in a home invasion case in Georgetown.
More preliminary charges were filed against Bush and Richards just two hours later when armed robbery charges were leveled against them by Danville police. Richards also was charged with home invasion, burglary and unlawful use of a weapon.
Danville Police Deputy Director Doug Miller said the two are suspects in the robbery of a cab driver the evening of Oct. 8 near the intersection of Giddings and Fairchild streets.
In addition, Richards is accused of trying to force his way into a home at about 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 9 in the 200 block of Tennessee Avenue. The woman at home at the time was able to fend the suspect off and close the door before he could get in.
The burglary charge against Richards stems from a break-in at Eastside Grocery, 1608 E. Fairchild St., about three hours after the Tennessee Avenue incident.
