Health center announces new care site

CAYUGA, Ind. — The Vermillion Parke Community Health Center board of directors announces that the Cayuga Clinic at 114 N. Division St. will become a satellite clinic and delivery site for the Vermillion Parke Community Health Center.

Union Hospital Health Group has been working cooperatively with the community health center and governing board to make this a smooth transition. Dr. Laurie Valera and Samantha Volstorf will continue to see patients at this location.

The Vermillion Parke Community Health Center is a federally qualified community health center that provides health care to all citizens.

“The mission of the Vermillion Parke Community Health Center is to provide comprehensive, quality, primary health care and related services to those in need of medical care, including the medically underserved and vulnerable populations of Vermillion and Parke counties in Indiana without regard to the patient’s ability to pay.”

The Cayuga Clinic provides primary health care services as well as behavioral health services, dental health referrals and obstetrical/prenatal care. A social worker is on to staff connect patients to resources, including prescription assistance. All private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid will be accepted. Fees are based on family size and income. If you would like to make an appointment or need additional information, please call the Cayuga Clinic at (765) 492-9042. Walk-ins also are accepted.

The VPCHC clinics in Clinton and Cayuga Clinic are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST Monday through Friday.
