GEORGETOWN — Kenneth Nichols, a 2000 graduate of Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School, was killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday, according to news reports.
The information could not be confirmed Tuesday night with the Department of Defense.
Nichols’ family did not respond to messages left Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report on WCIA Channel 3, Nichols had just been promoted to sergeant and was on a patrol in Afghanistan when he was killed.
Nichols, 27, has four children.
No other information was available Tuesday night.
