DANVILLE — The Danville Public Library will give away for two free tickets to the Danville Symphony Orchestra’s Dec. 12 concert, “Voices of Christmas.”
The winning entry will be drawn at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will be notified by telephone. Tickets are provided compliments of the Danville Symphony Orchestra. Entry forms are available near the checkout desk on the first floor of the library.
The Danville Symphony Orchestra’s choral celebration of Christmas will include a performance of Robert Russell Bennett’s arrangements of “The Many Moods of Christmas” featuring a large new community choir. Also singing with the orchestra will be Danville’s Sweet Adelines; Danville High School’s Madrigal Singers, Contemporaires and Delegation; and Catlin’s Garrett Taylor singing “O Holy Night.” The combined choirs will bring the evening to a close with the Hallelujah chorus from Handel’s “Messiah.”
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Danville High School and is sponsored by the Julius W. Hegeler II Foundation.
