Four hurt in Indiana crash
COVINGTON, Ind. — A three-car pile-up on U.S. 136 at County Road 600 West resulted in injuries for those involved.
According to a statement released by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday, the collision occurred just after 5 p.m. CST.
The accident involved Jessica Carron, 28, of Covington, Ind., who was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer that was stopped on U.S. 136, waiting to turn south onto County Road 600 West when Kurtis Davis, 18, of West Lebanon, Ind. struck her from the rear in his 1980 Chevrolet El Camino.
A third vehicle driven by Silas Bennett, 56, of West Lebanon, struck Davis’ car in the rear.
Carron and a 17-year-old female passenger in Davis’ car were transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Williamsport where they were treated for minor injuries.
Bennett was transported to Provena United Samaritans Hospital in Danville, and his passenger, Linda Sheridan, 59, of Crawfordsville, was flown by Phi to Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Spokeswomen for each hospital said Wednesday morning that Sheridan and Bennett were treated and released.
Fountain County Sheriff’s Department, Covington Police and Fire, Warren and Fountain County Ambulances, Warren County Rescue and Phi of Lafayette, Ind. assisted Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
