DANVILLE —
The HALO Project’s Women Aware Committee will host the Colon Cancer Prevention event at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Village Mall County Market.
The event will feature a cooking demonstration and offer suggestions on what to eat to help prevent colon cancer. The event also will feature a presentation on the importance of eating fiber, which foods affect the colon negatively and more topics.
There also will be food tasting, store tours and prize giveaways. Participants should meet in the County Market Café near the front of the store. Seating is limited.
The American Cancer Society’s “Healthy Eating Cookbook” will be available for a $5 donation.
