DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:

Danville

Tuesday:

Disorderly conduct reported along Perrysville Road.

Theft in the 100 block of Iowa Street.

Wednesday:

Disorderly conduct at CVS, 820 N. Vermilion St.

A man arrested for violating an order of protection in the 200 block of East Williams Street.

Bicycle stolen at Cannon School, 1202 E. Main St.

A woman arrested for passing a school bus and driving after suspension in the 800 block of North Jackson Street.

Thursday:

A man arrested for domestic battery and illegal consumption of alcohol in the 1100 block of North Walnut Street.

Domestic battery at Williams and Anderson streets.

Vermilion County

Wednesday:

Theft in the 7100 block of Walnut Street, Collison.

Theft in the 2500 block of Perrysville Road.

A man arrested for domestic battery in the 100 block of Rhea Street.

A woman arrested for possession of a controlled substance along Kelly Street, Oakwood.

Property damage at L and 5th streets, Tilton.

Thursday:

Domestic dispute in the 200 block of Gilbert Street, Rossville.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Wednesday, 12:25 p.m. At U.S. Route 136 and Henning Road involving Lori Coffey, 53, of Oakwood, and William Jenkins, 59, of Danville. Coffey was cited for failure to yield.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Wednesday, 7:48-8:10 a.m. A natural gas smell reported at 413 Ann St.

Wednesday, 6:32-6:35 p.m. A medical call in the 3300 block of North Griffin Street.

Wednesday, 7:52-8:08 p.m.  A medical call in the 200 block of Delaware Avenue.

Thursday, 1:39-1:54 a.m. An overheated motor at 610 S. Bowman Ave.

    Ron Colson attended his first Indianapolis 500 when he was 7 years old. That was 66 years ago. He’s missed only one of the Memorial Day weekend classics since then, and that was in 1950 when he had the mumps. He grudgingly handed his prized ticket over to his uncle that year. Luckily for the 10-year-old, it was one of the few early years when the race was televised, and the family friends who owned Crane’s TV Shop in Hillsboro, Ind., invited him to come watch it with them.
