CAYUGA, Ind. —
On April 17, North Vermillion Elementary will conduct its their annual kindergarten round-up for those children who will turn 5 years old on or before Aug. 1, 2013.
The round-up introduces parents to the kindergarten teachers and programs and includes some readiness screening for incoming kindergarten students.
There are two scheduled round-up sessions. The morning session is scheduled for 8:30-11:30 a.m. EDT and the afternoon session is scheduled for 12:15-2:15 p.m. EDT.
Those parents with children who meet the age requirements may pick up a round-up registration form at the Handi-Mart in Perrysville, Ind., the Perrysville and Newport, Ind., Post Office, and First Financial Bank in Newport and Cayuga, Ind. Parents also can call the elementary school at 492-7010 or stop by and pick up the round-up information.
Parents will need to bring the following information regarding their child with them to the session: birth certificate, immunization record, Social Security number and any custodial orders from the court.
