The Danville Jaycees will host their first Annual Celebrity Dinner and Silent Auction at 5 p.m. Nov. 13, at the Days Hotel and Conference Center.
Tickets are $50 and includes dinner and the opportunity to win $2,000 cash. Auction items include shirts signed by the artists that painted the new murals downtown, Mary Kay items and gift certificates for various local restaurants.
Some of the celebrities attending the event are going to be the reigning Miss Illinois, Whitney Thorpe-Klinsky; local radio announcers; television personalities; the state champion basketball coach of the Salt Fork Storm, Aaron Hird; and also professional baseball player Ryan Bird.
Proceeds go to the Vermilion County Relay for Life, Children’s Miracle Network and the Danville Jaycees so that they can better fund the community.
Tickets will go on sale Friday. Tickets will be available via the Web site http://www.danvillejaycees.org.
