DANVILLE —
The Illinois Department of Public Health Food Service Sanitation and Refresher Course will be offered at the Sleep Inn, 361 Lynch Dr.
Class times and dates are 11 a.m. to 8:30 pm. Saturday and Jan. 12. The certification test is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12.
This course is required for food service management in commercial and school food service. The instruction includes information on the causes of food borne illness, employee health and hygiene, purchasing, receiving and storing food, and cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
The instructor is Chris Fitzsimmons. Full class, handouts, textbook and test is provided for $100. Refresher course of five hours is also available on both class days at a cost of $50. Call Fitzsimmons at 497-1037 to make a reservation.
