DANVILLE —
Meetings have been scheduled to discuss Danville School District 118’s Ownership in Education Manual.
A committee of principals, parents, teachers and community members will discuss the manual and recommend changes or additions.
Meetings will take place on the following dates:
Thursday — 6 p.m., Danville High School library
Feb. 12 — 6 p.m., DHS library
Forums will take place on the following dates:
March 5 — 6 p.m., North Ridge Middle School
March 7 — 6 p.m., South View Middle School
A final meeting will take place in April.

Fire hits Hoopeston tire business
Firefighters from at least five departments battle a blaze today at a tire business on Hoopeston's south side. Areas around the scene were evacuated due to the dense smoke the fire created. No injuries had been reported as of 7:30 a.m.
