DANVILLE —
The Vermilion County Conservation District will host its annual Holiday Open House from 2-6 p.m. today at the Bunker Hill Historic Area in Kennekuk County Park, 22296-A Henning Road.
Outside lights will be turned on at dusk to highlight the buildings.
Featured attractions: the Atwood Home, fashioned in a 1940s-50s holiday theme, and three other historic buildings.
Free refreshments and treats will be available at the Neff Grocery Store along with old-time recordings of holiday radio programs. The Vermilion Chapel, built in 1886, and Red Oak School also will be decorated and open.
