DANVILLE —
The Illiana Genealogical and historical Society will host the “Perusing the Past” Cemetery tour on Sept. 11.
They will visit the Songer, Jones Grove, Oak Ridge, Mount Vernon and Pate cemeteries and stop at the Catlin Museum and Historical Society.
Everyone will meet for coffee and donuts at 9:30 a.m. at the Illiana Genealogical and Historical Society, 215 W. North St. The bus tour will begin at 10 a.m. and return by 3 p.m.
Lunch will be provided with a presentation by Fred Reddy on God’s Acre Cemetery and a visit to Pauline’s Attic.
Prepaid reservations required. Cost is $20.
