RIDGE FARM — Margaret A. Orrick, 84, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 10:36 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Danville, the daughter of Claude and Edna (Smith) Jones.

She married Ralph L. Orrick on May 8, 1946, in Danville. He survives.

Other survivors include her son, Bruce (Cindy) Orrick of San Angelo, Texas; and her daughter, Nan Northrop of Santa Rosa, Calif.; her grandchildren, Dana (Dave) Franz of Chrisman, Angela (J.D.) Nordberg of Sacramento, Calif., Cody Natalini of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Jason Orrick of Westville; and her great-grandchildren, Lindsey Franz and Dylan and Cooper Nordberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Margaret graduated from Ridge Farm High School and attended Illinois Wesleyan for one year. She was a member of Ridge Farm United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed cooking, traveling and going to movies. She enjoyed reading and writing. She had a passion for interior decorating. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and her cat, Rascal.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. George Desmond will officiate. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the funeral home.
