DANVILLE — Patricia Martin, 76, of Danville, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

She was born on May 30, 1936, in Chicago, and was raised by Matthew and Blanche Trimble.

Surviving are two children, Bobby (Cindy) Martin, of Danville, and Debbie Murray, also of Danville; two grandchildren, Brandy Martin and Adrian Murray; and two great-grandchildren, Malia Rose Pacheco and Skye Murray.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Jerry Murray; several brothers and sisters; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Patricia was always a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. She had been a certified nursing assistant at several different healthcare facilities and had also worked at General Electric for over 20 years.

She enjoyed playing bingo, drinking Diet Pepsi, shopping and going out to eat. Patricia was an avid WWE wrestling fan and became very involved while watching. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family, friends and her special cat, Midnight.

A memorial gathering for Patricia Martin for friends and family will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Cremation rites have been accorded.
