DANVILLE —
Brenda Mae Bostic, 68, of Danville, passed away at 5:19 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.
She was born June 27, 1944, in Danville, to Herman Walter and Agnes Kiel Kienietz.
She married Charles Bostic on Sept. 3, 1966, at Bethel Lutheran Church. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle (Tim) Snelson of Peoria and Melinda (Mark) Potter of Decatur; a sister, June Young; and stepsister, Peggy Pannbacker; four grandchildren, Trent and Taylor Snelson and Morgan and Meredith Potter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; and stepmother, Opal (Miller) Kienietz; brother, Robert Lee Kienietz; and stepbrother, Ronald Mietzler.
Brenda was a lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church and an active participant in the Vermilion County Democrats. She was the current Danville Township clerk and had been employed in the Vermilion County Circuit Clerk’s office for 15 years. She was currently employed as manager of the Tilton driver’s license facility.
She loved being involved in the activities of her children and grandchildren and also enjoyed playing euchre and Scrabble.
A service to celebrate the life of Brenda Bostic will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Danville. Pastor Ed Stone will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Royal. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville.
