COVINGTON, Ind. — Vera Louise Wilson, 94, died at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at The Waters of Covington, following an extended illness.

She was born April 6, 1918, at Foster, the daughter of Ernest A. and Iva T. (Gouty) Moudy.

She was a life resident of Covington and a 1936 graduate of Covington High School. Her memberships were: Benson Chapel United Methodist Church, Covington Bowling League Hall of Fame, Mound Kent Pansies Home Economics Club and a former member of Tri Kappa.

She was a bookkeeper at Foster Grain, Gessie, Ind., and Covington, Ind., elevators for many years, retiring in 1983.

Vera married Thomas Woodrow Wilson April 27, 1940, and he died Nov. 27, 1965.

Surviving are a daughter, Judith L. (Bruce G.) Gee, of Covington; a son, Thomas Michael (Jane) Wilson, of Perrysville; four grandchildren, Todd (Marla) Gee, Tim (Laura) Gee, Rebecca (Rob Jones) Stevens and Cinda (Alan) Morrison; eight great-grandchildren, Cody, Bryce, Natalie, Katie, Ryleigh, Justin, Chelsea and Derek; several special nieces and nephews.

Her parents, two brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law preceded her in death.

Visitation will be noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Shelby Funeral Home, with Dr. William Nickle officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Memorials requested to Benson Chapel United Methodist Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
