BAY PINES, Fla. —
Robert “Bob” Atterson Thorlton, 95, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Bay Pines, Fla.
Bob was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Danville to the late Robert Thorlton and Jesse Mae Thorlton.

His neighbors and friends on Boiling Springs Road helped with it and enjoyed the many vegetables he provided. He even had a small garden growing in the sand at his beach condo in Florida. One of Bob’s great joys was discussing politics with his coffee group at McDonald’s in Danville and at the Sea Rocket in Florida. He also enjoyed dancing.
