PEORIA, Ariz. — George T. Denney, 73, of Peoria, Ariz., formerly of Danville, died Jan. 28, 2013, with his brother Dan by his side.

George was born March 12, 1939, in Danville, the son of Roscoe and Hazel (Nixon) Denney.

Survivors, along with his brother Dan (Carol) of Peoria, Ariz., include his brother Cliff (Paulette) Denney of Channahon; several nieces and nephews; and his stepchildren and step-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, five sisters and his wife, Pat, of 31 years.

George graduated from Danville High School in 1958 and served with the military police in the Army from 1960-1963. While in Danville, he worked at Esco and later worked at Mission Uniform Services in Peoria, Ariz., prior to his retirement.

George enjoyed archery, traveling, camping and visiting state parks.

Per Mr. Denney’s wishes, there will be no services. He will be cremated, and his remains will be buried next to his wife at the Veterans Affairs cemetery in Prescott, Ariz.
