EUGENE, Ind. — Michael D. Belser, 51, of Eugene, passed away at 12:10 a.m. EST Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 8, 1961, in Clinton, Ind., the son of the late Barbara J. “Skip” Kepler Belser and Karl F. Belser.

Survivors include one daughter, Justina J. (fiancé, Jermey Dennis) Belser of Linden, Ind.; one son, Chad (Shaley Weir) Belser of Eugene, Ind.; four grandchildren, Hudson J. Claypool, Shelby L. Dennis, Maggie J. Dennis and Timothy J. Dennis; one sister, Audrey Cheryl (Mike) Kirchoff of Eugene, Ind.; and one nephew, Duke (Amanda) Lloyd of Brownsburg, Ind.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Karl Belser; and twin granddaughters, Brylee J. and Fynlee G. Belser.

Michael was an operator at RR Donnelley in Crawfordsville, Ind. He also owned and operated Grasswackers mowing service. Michael was a 1980 graduate of North Vermillion High School.

He enjoyed model trains, landscaping, mowing, working in his garage and watching NASCAR and his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He especially enjoyed his dog, Dixie Marie.

Memorial services: 8 p.m. EST Friday, Feb. 15, at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind. Officiating: Paul Del Valley. Visitation: 6 p.m. EST until time of services at the funeral home.
