COVINGTON, Ind. — Harlan Lee Johnson, 67 of Covington, died at 7:54 p.m. EST Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1945, at Danville, the son of Lloyd and Olive (Goodner) Johnson.

Harlan lived at Kingman, Ind., while growing up and was a 1963 graduate of Kingman High School. He served in the Navy 1965-1969.

He resided in Danville for many years and was a repairman at Illinois Bell Telephone, retiring in 1996. He moved to Covington in 2006.

Surviving are a sister, Sue Ann Martin of Sun City Center, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents, a sister and a brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. EST Thursday, Nov. 29, at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Paul Kent officiating. Calling will be one hour before services. Burial will follow in Danville National Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post 210. Condolences to the family: www.shelbyfuneralhome.com.
