Anna Marie Allen Moore

SELMA, N.C. — Anna Marie Allen Moore, 65, of Selma, passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly Father in the early hours of Dec. 10, 2012, surrounded by her family at home in Selma, N.C.

She was Miss Fountain County Jr. Miss 1963.

Anna married Jimmy Moore on Feb. 11, 1978.

Anna spent 18 years as an executive secretary at the North Carolina Telephone Association. She was an active member of the Eastern Star for 25 years. She loved to collect antiques and pieces of Native American history.

Anna was a talented artisan who made jewelry, pottery, oil paints and all sorts of stitchery. Anna was a mother to everyone and a friend to all.

She was born in Crawfordsville, Ind., to Delores Barker and Harold J. “Johnny” Allen.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Mann; brothers, Donnie Ray and Randy Allen; granddaughter, Chelsea Mann; and grandson, Matthew Zukowski.

She is survived by her parents, Delores and Harold; husband, Jimmy; brother and sisters, Brad Allen, Debbie DeMotte, Mary Joe Gray; children, Michelle Mann Ratcliff, Nathan Moore, Tommy Mann, Tracie Zukowski; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will take place 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at McLaurin at Pinecrest in Clayton, N.C., with the memorial services immediately following.
