MT. ZION — Patricia A. (Hayman Coty) McNeil, 79, of Mt. Zion, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Pat was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Danville, the daughter of John and Lottie (Molenda) Hayman.

As a young woman, she worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C.; served in the accounting division for the County of Wayne, Mich.; was appointed executive secretary at Windbreaker in Danville; and moved to Tucson, Ariz., after retiring from the Lauhoff Grain accounting department in Danville in 1994.

After Don’s death, she returned to Illinois in the spring of 1995 to be closer to family.

She is survived by her daughter, Ginger (Coty) Evans and husband, Ron, of rural Decatur; grandsons, Daniel (Erin) of Bloomington, Phillip Matthew (Catherine) of Saint Louis, Mo., and Kenneth (fiancée, Laura Nicklaus) of Peoria/Davenport, Iowa; as well as her sister, Virginia Hayman of Mt. Zion.

Pat’s hobbies included watercolor painting, embroidery, ceramics and her pets. Pat loved spending time with her family and conversing with people.

Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will immediately follow from noon-1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA and Homeward Bound Shelter.
