Sally Ann (Reuther) Sloan

DANVILLE — Sally Ann (Reuther) Sloan died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at home.

Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation will be             1-3 p.m. Sunday at Pape’s. Entombment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 16, 1938, to Clifford C. and Flora V. (Wright) Reuther.

She attended Danville High School, graduating Class of 1956. She attended House of James beauty school.

She worked as a hairdresser in Danville until 1994 when she and sister Nancy opened Sassy’s Catering until it closed in 2007.

Sally was an avid reader, loved her cats, cooking and baking, flowers, oil painting and crafting. There was always a jigsaw puzzle in the works.

For a while, she donated her hair and makeup talents at the Kathryn Randolph Theater (Red Mask Players) in Danville.

Sally is survived by daughter, Sherri (Greg) Thomas; grandchildren, Jason and Jenny Thomas; and sisters, Peggy (Dick) Miller and Nancy Corzine.

Sally was preceded by an infant son, John Clifford; and both of her parents.

Sally was a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed for her gentle and kind spirit that touched us all.
