Pauline Marron

PERRYSVILLE, Ind. — Pauline Marron, 80, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at her home in Perrysville, Ind.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, with pastors Steve Stanley and Jeremy Zerkle officiating. Visitation: 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Pape’s. Burial: Hicks Cemetery at Perrysville, Ind.

Memorials: American Cancer Society, 2509 S. Neil Street, Suite 1, Champaign, IL 61820.

Pauline was born June 8, 1932, in Ogden to Ora Walter and Bessie Helen Bradley Bensyl.

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1950 and received a Professional Secretary Certificate from Danville Junior College in 1975. She had worked for 30 years at the Danville Veterans Affairs hospital, retiring as administrative assistant to the director of nursing in 1990.

She had taught line dancing at the Covington Senior Center. She loved to dance and do needle work. Her family was No. 1 in her life.

She married Joseph James Marron Jr. on Jan. 10, 1951, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church by the Rev. C. B. Motsett, and he preceded her March 6, 1991.

Survivors include three children, Terry (Larry) Uppinghouse, Scott (Melba) Marron and Jonni Watts; nine grandchildren, Christopher (Gwen) Uppinghouse, Tye (Delia) Uppinghouse, Adam Uppinghouse, Jolee (Bryan) Phelps, Jana Marron, Julieanne Marron, Jasmine Marron, Justin Watts and Destiny Watts; six great-grandchildren, Meghan Uppinghouse, Sophia Uppinghouse, Wesley Uppinghouse, Isaak Phelps, Judah Phelps and Jeslyn Marron; and two brothers, Pete (Connie) Bensyl and James (Wilma) Bensyl.

She was preceded by her parents; two grandchildren, Jonathan Marron and Miranda Smith; and eight siblings, Ora Jr., Laverne, Jack, Don, Roy, Mary, Jayne and Norma Jean.
