Thomas E. Bergan, 82, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Bismarck, Ill., passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2010.

He worked for General Motors for 35 years, retired in 1986 and moved to Florida from Bismarck in 1993.

He is survived by his children, Barry (Maria) Bergan, Jim (Keli) Bergan, Wynne (Jim) Steinbaugh, Diana (Larry) Lytle, Patrick (Gina) Bergan, Bill (Sherry) Bergan, Kelley (Randy) Davis; stepdaughter, Phyllis (Clint) Getchell; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (McCrone) Bergan.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
