Oliver “Ollie” Cravens died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, after a brief illness in Crown Point, Ind.
He was born April 16, 1933, to Oliver and Marion Cravens in Danville.
He is survived by two sons, Troyce Cravens of Yakina, Wash., and Tim (Gloria) Cravens of Cedar Lake, Ind.; one daughter, Becky, of Rankin, and one brother, David (Linda) Cravens of Danville; two sisters, Nancy Andrews of Tilton and Faye Crawford of Urbana; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a veteran and served overseas in the Korean War. He was a retired over-the-road truck driver and was always interested in music. He enjoyed doing DJ music for his many friends in the Cedar Lake, Ind., area.
He also enjoyed boating. He will always be remembered by his friends in the trucking business from Danville and will be missed by all.
Per his request, he will be cremated with services at a later date.
