Harold David 'Dave' Williams

Harold David “Dave” Williams, 64, of Veedersburg, Ind., passed this life 12:16 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at his residence with his family at his side.

He was born June 14, 1945, in Crawfordsville, Ind., the son of Harold E. and Jeanne (Marquess) Williams.

Surviving family include his parents; two daughters, Sasha (Silas) Query of Kingman, Ind., and Darci Davis of Veedersburg; a son, Nick (Breanna) Williams of Veedersburg; two sisters, Sherry (Richard) Harris and Donna Warren both of Crawfordsville, Ind.; a brother, Brian (Diana) Williams of Crawfordsville; a long-time companion, Helen Fenters, who has spent nine years by his side; special children, Erica Fenters, Andy Fenters, Ashley Fenters, Aaron Fenters and Valerie (Fenters) Runion; and nine grandchildren, Baylee Rush, Megan Query, Mason Query, Cash Davis, Cheyenne Runion, Sydney Runion, Sierra Runion, Danica Stotts and Olan Fenters.

Mr. Williams served his country in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and the Indiana National Guard. He was employed by General Motors Corporation in Tilton, Ill., for 22 years before his retirement in 1995. He was a 1963 graduate of Delphi High School.

He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed nature, travel and numerous outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, gardening, camping and cooking out. He was very involved in his children’s daily lives and took great pride in his role as “Grandpa Dave.” His life lessons and zest for life will continue to impact their lives. Dave’s love, friendship, humor and kindness will be missed by Helen, family and the many friends he gained on his journey through life.

Visit with Dave’s family as they celebrate his life 3-7 p.m. EST Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at the Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg, Ind. Memorial service will begin 7 p.m. EST Friday at the church with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Military honors will be given at the service.
