RAYMORE, Mo. — Donna Jane Hobick, 79, Raymore, Mo., passed away Jan. 7, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Donna Jane Hobick was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Kansas City, Mo. She attended Faxon Grade School, Paseo High School and William Jewell College.

Donna married Laural Hobick on Jan. 4, 1953, in Liberty, Mo.

The next few years she became a mother of two sons, Mike and Steve. She loved supporting husband, Laural, while they traveled the country as he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Donna was very proud of the two houses they built with their blood, sweat and tears, one being the farmhouse in Cleveland, Mo., and the other being the lake house in Osage Beach, Mo. Donna had the privilege of not only being the mother of her boys and being involved in their sports, but also being the coach’s wife, in which she took great pride and never missed a game.

Donna Jane Hobick was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved life and was extremely supportive of family and friends. Donna’s honesty and caring has gifted her with many great friends over the years. One thing that was always close to Donna’s heart was God and all He created. At the end of the day, family was the most important thing to Donna.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl E. Svensson; father, James W. Coons; and cousin, Babe, who was cared for later in life by Laural and Donna.

She is survived by her husband, Laural Hobick; son Michael and wife, Joy; son Steven and wife, Adrienne; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband, Glenn, Jason and wife, Jenny, Jamie and husband, Blake, Lauren and Abby; great-grandchildren, Landon, Emma, Jackson, Harper and Brooklyn; and many friends that are family.
