DANVILLE — Vivian L. Nimrick, 93, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.

She was born June 5, 1919, in Ambia, Ind., to George and Madge (Spacy) Marko.

She married Everett Nimrick in November 1940. He preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Vivian’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Vivian worked for District 118 schools in the dietary department for about four years and then spent 16½ years as a dietary clerk at St. Elizabeth Hospital before retiring in 1982.

Vivian was an avid soap opera fan and loved word search games and sports. Her favorite pastime was spending time and playing games with her grandchildren.

Vivian is survived by one son, Thomas (Julia) Nimrick; one daughter, Karen Bullock; six grandchildren, Tamra (Charles) Montgomery, Thomas A. (Leisa) Nimrick, Scott Nimrick, Lisa (Ron) Dixon, Teresa (Tomas Guerrero) Nimrick and Brian Bullock; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Marko; and one sister, Georgia Hahn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald Nimrick; two brothers, Harold Marko and Lloyd Marko; one sister, June Allison; and one great-granddaughter, Jessica.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Vivian’s name, to North Logan Health Care. Condolences can be left online at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
