ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — Everett T. Collins, 86, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in Dade City, Fla.

Mr. Collins was born in Danville, Ill., to Lonnie and Verna Fitzhugh Collins.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, worked for the Department of Forestry for many years and moved to Zephyrhills, Fla., in 1990 from Wheaton.

Mr. Collins is survived by his living family, which consists of his wife, Marie, of Zephyrhills; six children, Gary (Carol) of North Port, Fla., Thomas (Sylvia) of Miami Beach, Fla., Diana Hesser (Joseph Parker) of Zephyrhills, Fla., Cynthia Pyle (David) of Hamler, Ohio, Lonnie (Janice) of Arlington, Wash., David (Cathy) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
