WESTVILLE — Glenda (Murray) Mosay, 70, of Westville, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, peacefully at home after a lengthy illness with cancer.

Glenda was born in Ridge Farm on Aug. 8, 1942, the daughter of Paul and Ellen (Chiever) Murray.

She was wed to Jimmy Mosay until his passing on Nov. 24, 2009.

She attended schools in Ridge Farm. She retired after many years as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Ridge Farm United Methodist Church.

Glenda enjoyed wildlife, especially birds and bird watching, and her dog, Oonie. She also enjoyed traveling and going to casinos.

She is survived by her three children, Franki (Thomas) Crist of Monticello, Tina (Steven) Thompson of Cayuga, Ind., and Stephen (Victoria) Lischalk of Lansing, Mich.; her seven grandchildren, Erica, Jacob, Dalton, Wyatt, Cole, Spencer Nicole and Serena; a very special friend, Gloria; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Mosay; her parents; her brothers, Kenneth Murray Jr., Albert Murray and Denny Murray; and her sister, Mary Ellen Lewis.

Glenda’s presence will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of Glenda’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Steve Rutter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given in her name to the American Cancer Society.
