ALVIN —
Kyle Clingan, 22 of Alvin, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Alvin.
He was born April 28, 1989, in Urbana.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by his father, Gordon (Dinah) Clingan of Fithian, and his mother, Tish (Bob) Link of Alvin. His two sons, Trent and Tyler Adam; four brothers, Jacob and Matthew Link, Joshua (Kim) Kinney and Dustin (Kendra) Kinney; two sisters, Rachel Link and Amanda (Allen) Sheppard, also survive him. Kyle also is survived and will be missed by his paternal grandparents, John (Karen) Clingan; his grandmothers, Becky Leibach and Shirley Hawkins; his great-grandmother, Mary Vinson; his maternal grandparents, Gene (Pat) Herron; grandmother Ann Link; two nephews, Nick and Caden; one niece, Kira; his aunt Patches (Rick) Tucker; his three uncles, Jason (Mandy) Herron, Chris (Kelly) Hawkins and Greg (Tina) Hawkins; his girlfriend, Jessica Harden, and many, many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William “Bill” Leibach; great-grandmother, Elizabeth (Gram) Clingan; great-grandfather, Theodore Vinson; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Myler, Mr. and Mrs. Herron, Mr. and Mrs. Potter and Mr. and Mrs. Stark; and his cousin and special friend, Chris Morin.
He attended Oakwood High School and enjoyed participating in football and wrestling and also enjoyed spending time with his friends, having a good time, riding horses, throwing knives and anything to do with the outdoors. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The Clingan and Link family would like to give a special thank you to Mike and Kathy Harden for their welcoming of Kyle into their family.
A Celebration of the Life of Kyle Clingan is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, at Crossroads Christian Church, 3613 N. Vermilion St., Danville, with burial to follow at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck. Mr. Miles Clark has been asked by the family to officiate the service. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville.
