DANVILLE — Lena Margaret Durre, 87, of Danville, died at 3:25 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Resurrection Mausoleum, Danville, with Pastor Randy Holden officiating. Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville.

Lena was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Metropolis to George Wesley and Annie Angeline Purcell Owens.

Her schooling was in Metropolis. She had worked at General Electric Ballast and Continental Filling. She was a member of the Danville DAV and VFW Auxiliary.

Lena married Arthur Alexander Crawford on May 12, 1945, and he preceded her. She later married Kenneth Charles Durre on Dec. 12, 1969, in Danville, and he preceded her Feb. 8, 1988.

Survivors include three children, Doris (Don) Songer, Sidney (Diane) Crawford and Connie (Eric) Johnson; seven grandchildren, Donavan Songer, Heather (Josh) Kaminsky, Nickolas (Imee) Songer, Cory (Brandy) Crawford, Aaron Crawford, Skyler Johnson and Cody Johnson; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Earles.

She was preceded by her parents; her husbands, Arthur Crawford and Kenneth Durre; an infant daughter, Sondra Lee Crawford; a brother, Harley Owens; three sisters, Ethel Weatherington, Nina Osborne and Mamie Housden.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
