FAIRMOUNT — Lucille “Lucy” Ross, 84, of Fairmount, passed away at 2:05 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.

She was born May 8, 1926, in Oakwood, to Jesse and Etta Miller Wilson.

Lucy married Merrill G. Ross on Feb. 2, 1963, in Danville. He passed away March 24, 1990.

Survivors include three sons, William (Jane) Lamb of Potomac, Larry (Annie) Lamb of Guam and Donnie (Missy) Lamb of Manhattan, Kan.; two daughters, Dot (Bill) McDaniel of Fairmount and Dee (Wayne) Huchel of Conyers, Ga.; one sister, Helen (Phil) Zindars of Armstrong; a special friend, Annie T.; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild and two on the way. She was preceded by one son, Jerry, three brothers and four sisters.

Lucy had worked at Bonn Aluminum and enjoyed gardening, fishing, singing, dancing, watching wildlife and she loved her family, especially her grandkids.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Rev. Chuck Powell will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, west of Catlin. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at Robison chapel. Memorials to the Oakwood Fire and Rescue. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.robisonchapel.com.
