DANVILLE — Maria (Santillana) Palacios, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed this life at 7:07 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.

Maria was born on Oct. 6, 1922, to Vidal Willie and Teofila (Perez) Santillana in Stephenville, Texas. She was the third of eight children. Maria married Pedro Gonzalez, and together they had two children. She later married Bernardo Palacios in 1951.

Maria was preceded in death by both her husbands; her only son, Santos (Ramona) Gonzalez; three brothers; and one sister.

Maria leaves behind her only daughter, Graciela (Guadalupe Martinez) Ledesma; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Maria enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family, who will miss her very much.

Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St. Visitation: 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, with rosary at 5:30 p.m.
