Norma L. Webb

DANVILLE — Norma L. Webb, 92, of Danville, passed away at 7:16 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.

Norma was born on Nov. 11, 1920, to William and Louise (Holtz) Becker in Danville. She married Glen E. Webb on June 30, 1940, in Danville. They divorced in 1961 and he preceded her in death in 1996.

She is survived by Timothy (Robin) Webb of Oakwood; a daughter, Nora Ross of Danville; a sister, Ruth Umphenour of Chrisman; a sister-in-law, Eda Becker; grandchildren Lori (Jim) Pickett, Scott Thomas, Milee (Jerry) Walters, James Verhoeven, Linda Huston, Robert (Donna) Verhoeven, Brenda (Chuck) Spurgon, Robert (Roxanne) Webb, Randy (Jamie) Webb, Duane (Julie) Webb, Katherina (Steve) Rotalsky and Michael (Nancy) Webb; 31 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Dale and Lloyd Webb; daughter, Glenna Verhoeven; great-great-granddaughter, Samantha; and brother, Roy Becker.

Norma was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church since her baptism on Nov. 21, 1920. She was confirmed on April 14, 1935, and graduated that same year from Trinity Lutheran Grade School. Norma was a member of the Eunice Society and taught Sunday school for 20 years. A former Mother of the Year, Norma retired from Teepak after 27 years of service and was a member of the Home Makers Society.

A celebration of Norma’s life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Nov. 26, 2012, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Burial is at Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville, with an additional hour visitation before the funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church.
