DANVILLE — Robert Franklin Long, 49, died at Danville Care Nursing Home on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.

He was born in Danville to Robert and Catherine Long.

He attended Washington School and graduated from McKinley School in 1984. He worked at Rehab Products, Kickapoo Park and Lakeview Hospital.

Bobby won a blue ribbon in swimming at the Special Olympics. He also liked to ride his bicycle, swim, play basketball and go picnicking.

Survivors include a sister, Rosemary Long, of Bloomington. He also will be missed by a former foster mother, Orlis Sisson and family, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service for Robert Long will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Atherton Cemetery in Danville. Pastor Raymie Gordon will officiate. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunset Funeral Home to assist with burial expenses.
