YORKTOWN, Ind. — Gladys L. Mariage, 85, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Waters of Yorktown, following an extended illness.

Gladys was born in Illinois on March 26, 1927, the daughter of John and Lenore Koontz, and attended Illinois schools.

Mrs. Mariage attended Morningside United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Gary Mariage (wife, Jane) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Dawn Pierce of Muncie, Ind.; a sister, Helen Johnson of Danville; four grandchildren, Barry Mariage (wife, Erika) of Warsaw, Ind., Lisa Covey (husband, Dean) of Fort Wayne; Aimee Miller (companion, Chris Boggs) of Muncie, and James Parker of Indianapolis; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 25 years, James E. Mariage; a sister, Marion Todd; and two brothers, Jessie and John Koontz.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Burial will follow in Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Parson Mortuary or 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home and one hour prior to time of service on Tuesday.
