MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — Jan. 17, 1931–Nov. 30, 2012

On Nov. 30, 2012, the Lord came and took our beloved Katie home.

Katie was born Jan. 17, 1931, to Leonard James and Orlena Luella (McLain) Clawson in Covington, Ind.

Katie married Raymond Lawrence Kiger in Indiana and had two sons. They moved from Indiana to Colorado and eventually settled in Oregon, where they later divorced.

Katie enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, arts and crafts and spending time with family. She always made special handmade gifts for her family and friends. Wherever Katie went, she made lifelong friends.

Katie is survived by her brother, Leonard (Wanda) Clawson; sons, Michael Kiger and Greg (Bridget) Kiger; grandsons, Travis (Tosha) Kiger and Dylan (Dormilee) Kiger; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at the chapel of Macy & Son, followed by private family interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
