CATLIN — Dorothy Pate, 99, of Catlin, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Emeritus Senior Living Center in Burr Ridge.

She was born June 9, 1913, in Champaign County to William C. and Caroline Wilson Green.

Dorothy married William Church Pate on Jan. 31, 1935, in Champaign County. He passed away June 25, 1981.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn (Donald) Vincent of Downers Grove; two grandchildren, Dennis (Carrie) Gillogly and Dawn (Mike) Zolo; three great-grandchildren, Morgan, Megan and Abigail Gillogly; and one cousin, Frieda Gasser Mumm, of Champaign.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Green and Leona Smith.

Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Catlin and active in church activities, member of the Catlin Historical Society and enjoyed playing cards, baking and being a “farmer’s wife.” She also was a member of the Farm Bureau.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Catlin, the Rev. Janet Miller to officiate. Burial in: OakRidge Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation: 9:30-11 a.m. on Friday at the United Methodist Church in Catlin.

Memorials to: the United Methodist Church in Catlin or the Catlin Historical Society.
