Larry Leroy Marcott

ROSSVILLE — Larry Leroy Marcott, 65, of Rossville, passed away at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.

He was born July 20, 1947, in Watseka to Fenton and Fern Pierce Marcott. He married Dianna York on March 28, 1970. She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Angela Marcott, of Rossville, and Aaron (Laurie) Marcott, of Danville; six grandchildren, Cassidy (Rich) Sullivan, Courtney (Jon) Dhondt, Jalyn Marcott, Reese Marcott, Trey Anderson and Paige Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Kadynce Sullivan, Keaton Sullivan and Nolan Dhondt; and a nephew and niece, Doug Atwood, of Watseka, and Bonnie Sippel, of Kankakee, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Kamden Marcott; and a sister, Nancy Atwood.

Larry served his country in the United States Army. He then became an R.N. and worked on the psychiatric ward at the Veterans Affairs hospital until retiring after 25 years. Larry liked to check out antiques and stop by garage sales, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Per Larry’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Memorials in his name may be made to the donor’s choice.
