DANVILLE — Martha Haas, 89, of Danville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

She was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Danville, to William J. and Freda (Schramm) Haas.

A Celebration of Martha’s life will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Sunset Funeral Home, Danville. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Martha was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school class and the Missionette Program.

Martha lovingly cared for and played with 14 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and great-nephews; 32 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and five great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews. Martha also is survived by one brother, Fred (Marilyn) Haas; one sister, Bertha Haas; and one sister-in-law, Uva Haas.

She was preceded in death by one half-sister, Mabel Tellier; and brothers and sisters, Minnie Haas, Clara (Ray) Traylor; Frankie Haas, Charlie Haas, Edna (George) Jenkins and Anna Haas.
