BURLINGTON, Iowa —
Dorothy Marie Swanson, 89 years old, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away on Monday evening, Jan. 7, 2013, at the Danville Care Center, Danville, Iowa.
Dorothy was born on Aug. 21, 1923, to Max and Grace (Schindall) Keller in Burlington, Iowa.
Dorothy married Dale J. Swanson on April 23, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Dorothy is survived by four of their children, Bonnie K. Bottger of Oakwood, Ill., Ronnie Swanson of Montoursville, Pa., Pam Swanson of Olds, Iowa, Karen (Charles) Thomas of Burlington, Iowa; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Son Allen Swanson preceded her in death in 1962.
Dorothy was employed at Midwest Biscuit and Neisener’s in Burlington, Iowa.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Prugh’s Chapel, Burlington, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Danville Care Center, Danville, Iowa.
