Joseph Paul Innis

PLANO, Texas — Joseph Paul Innis, 82, of Plano, Texas, died peacefully at his home Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, surrounded by his family.

He was born Aug. 20, 1930, to Oliver Paul and Edith Spencer Innis in the little farming community of Humrich, Ill.

He was married for 61 years to Barbara Naylor.

He graduated from Ridge Farm High School and joined the U.S. Navy soon after graduation. Joe served his country proudly in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Valley Forge (CV-45) during the Korean War. Joe graduated from Rose Polytechnic in 1957.

Joe worked for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for over 30 years and was most proud of working on the programs to put man on the moon. He was very proud of raising his family and seeing them succeed in life.

Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara; three children, David (Paula), Paul (Rhonda) and Mandy Tschoepe (Ernie); and seven grandchildren. He also is survived by his sister Sue Terrell; and cousin, Patricia Ostrow. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Spencer Tschoepe.

A memorial service for family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Allen Family Funeral, Plano, Texas.
