Kai Jeremiah Harris

GEORGETOWN — Kai Jeremiah Harris, infant son of David and Kacy (Potter) Harris, of Georgetown, left this earth to be in the arms of his loving, heavenly Father at 6:32 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born at 1:59 p.m. Jan. 31, 2013.

Kai will be sadly missed by his seven siblings, Ashton, Taelyn, Mariya, Bryson, Nolan, Nevin and Tucker; his maternal grandparents, Susan and Lee Reinier of Georgetown; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Susan Harris of Danville; his maternal great-grandparents, Beanie and Betty Biggs; paternal great-grandmother, Margaret Rohrer of Danville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Potter; his paternal great-grandparents, Rex and Minnie Harris; paternal great-grandfather, Merle Rohrer; and one uncle, Travis Potter.

“Our Sweet Baby, Kai — The day that God created you, He had an exact purpose in mind. Even though your time on this earth was short, you carried out God’s perfect plan. You have touched the hearts and lives of so many, and we look forward to spending eternity with you.”

Jeremiah 1:5 — “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart …”

A private family service to celebrate the life of Kai Jeremiah Harris will be held at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. He will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Kai’s name to: S.O.F.T. USA (Support Organization for Trisomy) in care of Barb Vanherrewegne, 2982 S. Union St., Rochester, NY 14624.
