DANVILLE —
The Vermilion County Museum Society is celebrating Abraham Lincoln’s 204th birthday with an open house from 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday in the museum, 116 N. Gilbert St.
Punch and cake will be served in the museum center. Both the museum building and the Fithian home will be open for viewing.
The 384 entries from the Lincoln Birthday Card Contest will be on display. Area fourth- and fifth-grade students participated in the contest. At 3 p.m. certificates, ribbons and prizes will be given to the winners.
There is no admission charge for either building during the open house. Parking is available in the museum parking lot, First Midwest Bank and the north end of the Big Lots parking lot.
