MILDRED LOUISE (FOREIN) PAYNE

RIDGE FARM - Mildred Louise (Forein) Payne, 92, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at her residence.

Mrs. Payne was born on Feb. 3, 1914, in Ridge Farm, the daughter of Dennie and Cecil (Cooke) Forein. Both her parents precede her in death. On Sept. 17, 1940, Mildred married James W. Payne Sr. in Georgetown. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Mildred leaves behind and will be missed by: her two grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Payne of Ridge Farm and Michele Rogers (fiancee, Shane Kearbey), also of Ridge Farm; her half sister, Nancy Beagle of Colorado; her sister-in-law, Lucille Downs of Cayuga, Ind.; three nieces, Linda Wilson of Cayuga, Ind., Shirley Martin of Perrysville, Ind., and Judy Harrison of Oregon; her daughter-in-law, Victoria Payne of Ridge Farm; her three great-grandchildren, Chelsey Nikole Rogers, Brit-tany Ann Rogers and Tyler James Payne; her cousin, Lewis Forein of Santa Monica, Calif.; and her special friend, Mary Anderson of Georgetown. She is preceded in death by her son, James W. Payne Jr., her sister, Irene Whitlock, her brother, Donald Forein who was killed in action during WW II, her nephew, Allen Whitlock, her uncle, Arnold Forein, and her aunt, Florence Forein.

Mildred graduated Ridge Farm High School and became a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and being with her great-grandchildren and family.

A celebration of Mildred's life has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home at 200 E. West St, in Georgetown. Pastor Leon Korb will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm. Visitation will be between 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2006, at the funeral home.
