Phyllis Irene Lawrence, 73, of Danville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at her residence.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, IL 61832.
Phyllis was born Jan. 13, 1935, in Eugene, Ind., to Donald and Ruby Jane (Gallatin) Bunch. She attended Danville schools. Phyllis worked at Central State Warehouse for 14 years. Phyllis loved to make plastic butterflies; she would use her old milk jugs and cut them into butterflies, paint them and hand them out to everyone she knew.
Phyllis married Richard Fredrick Lawrence. They were married for 30 years. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 1982. Survivors include four sons, Ed (Donna) Lawrence of Oakwood, Donald (Teresa) Lawrence of Ludlow, Charles Lawrence of Danville and Bill (Betty) Lawrence of Burkburnett, Texas; one daughter, Kandi (David) Davis of Davenport, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Bunch of Danville and John (Ruthie) Bunch of New Orleans, La.; sisters, Molly (Gordon) Farrell of Gretna, Va., Donna (Jack) Reffiett of Indiana, Kathy Clark of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Sally Bloomfield of Wakarusa, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard Eugene Lawrence; brother, William Albert Bunch.
